Seems like something must be out there somewhere to automate the task. Though visiting each site does help to ensure that shop sites are still active and that a site&#039;s topic might not have changed.

		<description>You should drop an email to the owners of EzineArticles.com, they have an automated system that checks links and notifies submitters of the dead links. I bet there is something you can do to automatically get notified of dead links on your site. 

Just a thought to cut down on the workload.</description>
