I had forgotten about that site. I am so glad you brought it up.

Thank you for visiting my blog and I hope to see you again.

p.s. I took a look at your blog and Etsy shop - you do very nice work! I love the bonbon mice - such a cute piece of sweetness. I would love to add both to Crafty Tips.

    Hi Michele,

People who are at risk for hot glue failure should check out this website: http://www.thistothat.com/. It has a form where you can enter two things you want to glue together, and then it suggests the best kinds of glues for you.

I never use my hot glue gun anymore, though I’ll confess I probably reach for my Fabri-Tac more often than I should. I love Fabri-Tac, it’s just like hot glue only it doesn’t burn your fingers.

Thank you for your comments. I spent a great deal of time writing the entry and considering how to discuss things without running the risk of being sued by either party involved.

From the details provided it is a case of he said, she said with a bit of David and Goliath thrown in. Without written correspondence or recordings of conversations who’s to know who’s telling the truth here. That is perhaps the secondary lesson to this issue - always get it in writing!

Without a legal definition of the issues involved it’s hard to say when critical blogging is protected and when it becomes libelous. To me it is scary that a small business owner who simply wants to share a bad experience with another company can be sued for such a huge amount of money.

The case has not been fully resolved, so as far as I know, no one has been awarded anything at this point.

Why not tell the type of business the blog was written about so we can get a better picture of the story? I seems like there is more to this, people are not awarded 20 million usually unless there is a legit reason it could be a rare example of justice gone awry If that were the case why wouldn’t you speak on the wrongs of the justice system? At least touch on it instead of talk trying to scare people out of critical blogging.ot a bad story but could be presented with a wider look at things without much trouble.
