Featured Artist Program

Blog About Crafts Featured Artist Program

On Thursdays and Fridays, Blog About Crafts will feature a number of new arts and crafts tutorials, freebies and tips and a selection handcrafted items folks have shared and/or put up for sale. The handmade items were all made by the participating sites on Crafty Tips Arts & Crafts Directory.

Becoming a participant on Crafty Tips is free and so is the Blog About Crafts Featured Artist Program.

This is a terrific opportunity to gain even more exposure for your handcrafted items!

No matter how much I would love to keep up with what everyone is creating, there’s simply not enough hours in the day to visit everyone’s website, blog or shop. So, I’m going to need some help from you…

Participation is limited to artisans and crafters already participating on Crafty Tips. If you don’t already have a listing, don’t tell me, just quietly go over there and submit your site and we won’t tell anyone about your little oversight.

The best way to ensure that I don’t miss your creative endeavors is to send me an email with a finished picture of your creation, a few words about it and a link to the page of your site where it appears.

Update: January 2012 – I have been slowing adding sites that offer RSS feeds to my feedreader. As of now, the only sites being showcased as part of the Featured Artist Program are those sites which have been added to my reader account. Keep in mind, if your site does not have a feed, or if I haven’t added you to my reader account yet, unless you email me and let me know you posted something great this week, you will never be included in the Blog About Crafts Featured Artist Program.

Craft Tutorial Thursdays

Craft Tutorial Thursdays will showcase a number of great new crafty tutorials posted on the sites participating on Crafty Tips. Each project will be displayed with a picture of the finished creation, a few words describing the project and a direct link to the original craft tutorial page. Please limit your submissions to one per week. Showcase entries will be randomly chosen from all entries received by Tuesday night.

Featured Artist Fridays

Featured Artist Fridays will showcase a number great new arts and crafts projects recently completed by one of the many artisans and crafters participating on Crafty Tips. Each project will be displayed with a picture of the finished item, a few words describing the item and a direct link to where it can be viewed or purchased. Please limit your submissions to one per week. Showcase entries will be randomly chosen from all entries received by Wednesday night.

Blog About Crafts

Back in 2006, when this site was launched, there was a gal who loved to help other artists and crafters build their business. She had several websites, including this one, dedicated to that endeavor. She helped them fly, while she only dabbled. Finally, she has joined them in pursuing her own artistic endeavors which can be found at Michele Tway Mixed Media & Fiber Art.
