Pinterest. You’ve surely heard of that wonderful site by now. It’s like a giant scrapbook being put together by people from all over the world. It’s also become one of the best places to find the work of talented artists you may have never heard of before. With that in mind, I thought it might be fun to take a random look around and take what I find to create a collection of artists who are working with a similar medium. What I found is a group of 7 talented folks who are cutting, folding and pasting paper into wonderful and inspiring artwork. None of them on are Crafty Tips (yet) but I won’t hold that against them if you don’t.

Talented jewelry artists and Etsians make up this week’s Featured Artist Friday post. Their pieces range from a large statement necklace to fine silver and crystal earrings to a steampunk bracelet with rifle casings. There’s something in this post for every taste and budget. Be sure to check out the jewelry pieces featured here as well as the many wonderful other pieces available in their shops.

This week, for the first time, Featured Artist Friday has a theme – needles and thread. Each one of the talented artisans profiled this week used needles and thread in their work. But, that’s where the similarities end. They range from a dramatic gemstone, beaded statement necklace to a rockabilly dress that can be made to order to some decorator pillows and a multi-compartment wallet. I suspect they’ll be at least one that you’ll want to take a closer look at. Better yet, I hope you check out the Etsy shops and blogs of all the artists and let them know how much their work inspires you.

It was bound to happen. A Featured Artist Friday post entirely comprised of wonderful items made by Etsians. Even though two of them are both silversmiths, their artisan jewelry is quite unique and I would definitely check out both of their shops before making a purchase. If you aren’t looking for silver jewelry, there’s also a talented watercolorist who places her miniature paintings under glass and makes lovely pendents from them. A skilled crocheter and her newsboy hat are also featured. And rounding out this week’s group is a die cut embellishments supplier who has taken her own die cuts to create a trio of owls to adorn your paper crafts.

No bad luck (other than yet another Friday post not getting posted until Saturday morning) here. Instead, you will find four wonderful handmade items folks participating on Crafty Tips made this week. This week we help one artisan introduce a new line of men’s jewelry, a proud momma show off two lovely dresses she stitched for her pretty little girls, a lampwork glass artist sell some of her wonderful beading components and another artist who makes wonderful printables and greeting cards.

A huge variety of eye candy and wonderful handmade items available for purchase. C’mon, you know you wanna look and see what everyone’s made.

This week showcases four talented artists. Three lovely and very different pieces of jewelry along with a beautiful ring bearer pillow and flower girl basket are among my favorites from the many folks participating on Crafty Tips.

This week’s group may be the most diverse in style but that only makes it more likely that you will find something that you can not live without.
